Congrats to our October athlete of the Month – Stuart!
Stu might be the butt of many a man-bun joke around the gym, but I have very few clients that push as hard as he does. I know I could come to the gym with a “Death by Sprints” workout programmed and Stu will still look at it and go, “Ok Coach, let’s get it done!” That kind of attitude makes for some serious progress and a happy coach.
Here’s what Super Stu had to say:
My name is Stuart and I started at Sammamish Crossift a year ago. Before I started Crossfit, I always went to normal gyms when I played lacrosse, but was never really excited about working out. I started Crossfit when I lived in the Midwest and got hooked pretty easily because it was challenging and competitive .
My favorite Crossfit memory is going to the gym everyday and getting my ass kicked with a bunch of like minded people. It’s always fun to see how many people push themselves and how much more you can push yourself.
Max set of ab mat sit-ups.
I would tell them to forget what they’ve heard about it. Not everybody that does Crossfit chugs protein powder and has tribal tattoos. Everything is scaled to your fitness level and the coaches are always there to motivate you.
